Saturday Night Live fans, rejoice! A comedy powerhouse reunion is in the works, as SNL alumni Molly Shannon and Steve Koren are joining forces once again for an uproarious new series coming to HBO.
The untitled comedy, written by Steve Koren, will feature Molly Shannon in the leading role, as well as taking on the role of Executive Producer. The show promises to be a riotous look at a woman consumed by the world of celebrity gossip and news, who finds herself on an unexpected journey to a posh Malibu celebrity rehab center. Instead of confronting her issues, she navigates the experience as if it were a luxurious vacation, forming an unexpected bond with a young starlet and facing choices that will keep audiences in stitches.
Joining Shannon and Koren in the executive producer ranks is Shannon’s long-time manager, Steven Levy, adding further depth to the creative talent behind this exciting new project.
With Steve Koren’s impressive background working alongside comedy legends like Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell on SNL, as well as his successful executive production on numerous comedic films, audiences can expect a perfect blend of witty humor and sharp storytelling. Furthermore, Molly Shannon’s knack for bringing laughter and heart to the screen is bound to make this collaboration a must-watch for fans of comedy.
