When the clock strikes midnight in the Atlantic Time zone (11pm ET), New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will dazzle viewers once again with a Spanish language countdown, co-hosted by the returning Dayanara Torres from Puerto Rico’s Convention Center. It’s out with the old and in with the new as the Central Time zone countdown from New Orleans is no longer part of the show, marking a fresh change for 2024. (Last year, Rockin’ Eve also launched a Disneyland location to kick off Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration, which won’t be returning this year.)
As the No. 1 New Year’s Eve special for over 30 years, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023 drew a staggering 13.8 million total viewers and averaged 4.1/29 among adults 18-49. At its peak, the show attracted 17.9 million viewers and a 5.3 18-49 rating in the midnight quarter-hour.
