Excitement filled the air as Legacy Youth Leadership brought together passionate individuals at their 3rd Annual Legacy Ball event at the iconic SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills on October 14th. This remarkable occasion celebrated the incredible work of Legacy Youth Leadership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing the potential of young leaders who are determined to shape a better world.
The Legacy Youth Leadership program understands that young people are not just the future—they are already making an impact in the present. By providing free leadership and mentoring programs, Legacy empowers students to utilize their time, money, voice, and vote to become effective leaders today. These programs help develop and equip individuals with the skills necessary to achieve their academic goals, make a tangible difference in their communities, and thrive personally and professionally.
Seth Maxwell, the Founder & CEO of Legacy Youth Leadership, expressed his immense gratitude for the opportunity to gather once again and raise awareness and support for the extraordinary movement of young leaders. He recognized the tremendous impact these enthusiastic individuals are making and acknowledged the significance of the event for the organization.
Legacy Youth Leadership is a thriving movement consisting of tens of thousands of high school and college students united in their pursuit of effecting positive change. With their free leadership and mentoring programs, Legacy aims to empower students from low-income schools to use their time, money, voice, and vote to address pressing global issues. The programs focus on fostering essential skills such as communication, public speaking, organization, strategic planning, and fundraising. In the previous year alone, Legacy served over 2,400 students who successfully completed their Leadership Program. Furthermore, these students were paired with dedicated adult Mentors who guided them throughout the year as they worked on community-focused projects.
Every year, Legacy hosts the much-anticipated student leadership conference, Legacy Summit—a transformative and multi-faceted event encompassing elements of a summer camp, a music festival, and a U.N. General Assembly. During this remarkable two-day program, 300 student leaders are nurtured, equipped with essential skills, and connected with one another. The ultimate goal is to inspire them to create a better world. Notably, Legacy students have achieved remarkable milestones, such as protecting over 2,100 acres of rainforest land in Peru to combat climate change and providing free mental health resources to 2,800 low-income students, including a year of therapy.
The 3rd Annual Legacy Ball was a star-studded affair made possible through the generous support of sponsors like Follett, Liquid Death, and Orange Barrel Media. The event featured prestigious award presentations and captivating performances, with appearances by notable figures such as Scott Evans, Anthony Keyvan, and Missi Pyle. The evening’s highest honor, the Legacy Award, was rightfully bestowed upon Scott Evans. Additionally, PwC was recognized with the Vision award for their substantial contributions in helping lay the foundation for leaders of today.
The 3rd Annual Legacy Ball was a testament to the remarkable achievements of Legacy Youth Leadership and the dedication of young leaders who are shaping a better future. As the Legacy movement continues to grow, more lives will be positively impacted, and communities across the globe will benefit from the visionary actions of these extraordinary individuals.
